Living Word Summer 2007 Instructor Bios

Pastor David Kim

Pastor David has been in full-time ministry for 16 years.  He has a passion for seeing people transformed by encountering the living God through worship and the Word. As an undergraduate, he studied history at UC Berkeley. He has completed a Masters of Divinity at Fuller Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree there.

Sharon Kim

Sharon is a gifted teacher with a passion for educating and equipping the people of God.  She is currently an assistant professor of sociology at Cal State Fullerton.  She received her degrees from UC Berkeley (BA), UCLA (MA), and USC (PhD).  She is the wife of Pastor David Kim and proud mother of their two thriving boys.

Eric Cheng

Eric is a physician-educator who loves the Word, books, and seeing God’s people transformed by discipleship and mentoring. He received his MD degree from the UCLA School of Medicine, where he now serves as an assistant clinical professor. As director of Living Word, he incorporates the science of education into developing quality curricula for Garden members.

Mike Wong

Mike is a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and leads the firm's West Region Systems and Process Assurance practice.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, with over eleven years of experience. Mike is also a member of The Garden staff and has served as the church's treasurer for twelve years.

Min Yoo

Min is an attorney and a Certified Financial Planner who enjoys assisting individuals with their tax and financial planning issues. He is currently employed as a Wealth Strategist with Union Bank of California. He has received degrees from Occidental College (BA), Loyola Law School (JD) and Golden Gate University School of Law (LLM).
